Neo-Renaissance architecture is an array of 19th-century architectural designs that are neither Greek Orthodox or Italian Renaissance, but which instead were influenced by a variety of influential modernizing European models. Many contemporary architects and designers claim credit for the Neo-Renaissance architectural style, but it is actually the architect Antonio Gaudi who deserves most of the credit for the real origins of the neo-Renaissance style. His design skills included everything from innovative roofing materials to the use of colored glasses. However, he also incorporated certain characteristics of both Greek Renaissance and Italian Renaissance styles into his neoRenaic architectural plans. This is an essential feature of the neoRenaic architectural style which we will examine in the following paragraphs. In the next section, we will explore in more detail the relationship between this language and the neo-Renaic architectural style.
Neo-Renaic architecture is believed to be influenced by styles of the past of Greece, Egypt and Rome as well as French architecture from the Regency Period. The works of Vitruvian masterpieces, such as the Arch of Titus and the Catacombs of Kom es-Shouqafa, are also believed to have had an influence on Neo-Renaic architecture. The style was also influenced by the works of Benvenuto da Vinci. Nearer to the archetype, the Neocatechoric Temple in Sofia may have been inspired by the massive Catacombs of Rome. It’s not a surprise that many styles and concepts of Neo-Renaic architectural design have strong connections to classical Roman or Greek architectural designs.
Neo-Renaic architecture is similar to other styles, and since it mixes and changes shape, you can consider it to be late to the scene. There are columns, sloping roofs and rounded forms in architecture. These are utilized to emphasize the verticality and strength of the structure.
It is easy to see in the works Vitruvius that many of the buildings of the past of Rome like the forum, had a double-tiered roof. This kind of roof was also popular in the past of Egypt. These roofs were sometimes constructed using a variety of materials and gave them the appearance of different structures. Neo-Renaic architecture resembles this kind of architecture. Neo-Renaissance elements include courtyards, stairways, stages or colonnades, as do the use domes (or sun-dial temples). The unique roof designs and rounded shapes are distinctive.
Neo-Renaic architecture also incorporates elements of geometric form. For instance, a building such as the Vitruvian temple could have been constructed in an egg shape. It is also suggested that Neoplantus has a similar architecture to the designs of the Menghi-Jihi complex in China. Neoplantus is one example. It features an onion dome as its primary design.
Another fascinating aspect of Neo-Renaissance architecture is its use of “The Book of Forms.” Contrary to other forms of architecture, Neo-Renaic architecture actually makes use of what is called “The Book of Forms.” It is generally believed that the Book of Forms exists in Sanskrit as well, and this is the case for this type of architecture. architect design However, the form of the book doesn’t resemble anything that is found in the sacred texts of India. Instead, it is believed that the Book of Forms was used by the Romans as a tool for their architectural designs. Some scholars believe that this type of architecture was heavily influenced by Hindu temples.
Neo-Renaic architecture is characterized by forms that are very different from Western architectural styles. This is why, when looking at Neo-Renaic architecture, one might mistake it for a Christian temple or church. In many instances, the architecture is so bizarre that it might be mistaken for a pulp cartoon building. The forms are also placed in unusual ways. For instance, the head of a pinball machine could be placed on top of the table, or an elongated piece of cake might be placed on top of the head.
This type of architecture is similar to Post-Renaic architecture in the way that the forms are arranged. The difference is in the order and arrangement. Neo-Renaic architecture employs abstract forms to create a totally unique style. This architecture stands out from other designs in architecture and draws attention from everyone who sees it.
